Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays help to evaluate tartar below the gumline, cavities in the teeth, missing/impacted/supernumerary (extra) teeth, bone height and defects as they relate to periodontal disease, and dental infections or resorption at the tooth root. Dental panoramic x-rays (panorex) can provide a larger view of the upper maxillary and lower mandibular bones to evaluate for inflammation, infection, cysts or tumors. X-rays can also determine the suitability of the bone for dental implants.
Digital x-rays are quickly acquired and easily displayed and enlarged to help you appreciate the condition that you have. They are also safer because they require 80% less radiation than normal x-rays. They are also environmentally friendly.
