Bonded White Fillings (Composite Resin)
Our practice is amalgam and mercury-free. We take pride in using composite resin fillings, inlays, onlays and crowns that do NOT contain BisPhenol A (BPA).
Composite Resin Fillings
Composite resin fillings were created in the 1960′s as an alternative to traditional mercury amalgam fillings to provide a natural tooth colour. They are bonded into place to restore a decayed or broken tooth. They are also used to change the colour of a tooth or reshape a disfigured or chipped tooth for cosmetic improvement.
Porcelain/Ceramic Restorations
Porcelain/Ceramic is one of the strongest and most natural looking dental restoration materials available today. When bonded into place, a tight seal against bacteria is formed. Using the CEREC CAD/CAM System, all inlays, onlays and crowns at our Centenary Dental office are fabricated using 100% porcelain/ceramic in one appointment. This usually takes two appointments if not created by an in-office milling process. In addition, there is no need to take an impression (no gagging!) or for temporary crowns.
